Couples Therapy: Services and Fees

Couples Counseling- Using Gottman Couples therapy method

Let's be honest, even the best of relationships need an oil change every now and then.  Whether you are working through communication breakdowns or infidelity, I will support you in facilitating difficult conversations.  I will help guide you to notice and become aware of unnoticed emotions (anger and sadness, fear and shame) and how to communicate these emotions to promote security, validation and warmth.

I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and primarily see couples in my practice. Using Gottman Method Couples therapy is different in that couples get a full assessment of their relationship to guide our treatment plan together.

The Relationship Assessment

Created by Drs. John and Julie Gottman in collaboration with The Gottman Institute, the Gottman Relationship Checkup is a new, clinical tool designed for use by clinicians in a therapeutic setting with couples.  This is typically completed by the couple after the first session, prior to the individual sessions.  The assessment not only automatically scores a relationship’s strengths and challenges, but also provides personalized feedback for effective intervention.  After completing the assessment, the results will be read during the feedback session to create a personalized plan for couples therapy. Click here for more information.

Fees:

50-minute session = $175

Current Workshops for Couples & Parents

Bringing Baby Home
The Gottman’s research demonstrates that when couples become parents, there is a significant decrease in their relationship satisfaction. Further research has shown that relationship discord and conflict have a profound negative effect on the couples’ infants and toddlers.  The Bringing Baby Home Program was developed in order to support families during this challenging transitional time. Please keep in mind that this workshop is experiential for couples and isn’t considered couples counseling.
